Those of you who listen to our podcast know us for our, well, occasionally edgy humor. This is a warning to all those who are young and/or impressionable that this episode goes straight over the edge and into the nether regions where no sexual innuendo has gone before. At least for us.

Some of this has to do with our news topics–we not only talk about the Haruhi-chan “Nice Boat” debacle, we also talk about the strange phenomenon of Viagra-fueled men dying in love hotels (in my best This American Life/Ira Glass impersonation), and a 74-year old Japanese male porn star who’s still going strong. As reported by CNN, of course. If they can do it, so can we…right?

Finally, we answer your mail, and then have a roundtable discussion about the season’s best new show, Rideback.

NOTE: The iTunes/AAC version doesn’t have images or chapters because, for some reason, I can’t get it Soundtrack Pro to export the enhanced version correctly. Sorry, iTunes fans.

  1. They just couldn’t resist another in-joke!

Ever since Mainichi got rid of Wai Wai, I’ve been without strange news from Asia.  Is WAN the successor?

  2. I cant wait for a more regular show!

You guys are really entertaining and I enjoy listening to your show!

  3. Whats your age group for lisiners?  Or do you just assume that everyones a certan age?

Anyway I wanted to thankyou again for all the animes you’ve talked about over the episodes which I’ve watched, and I loved almost all of them.

I want to end by saying that you guys are like the older brothers I never had but wish I did. Seriously I Love you guys so much! You always find some way to make me fall out my chair lauthing my ass off, no matter how shitty of a day I’m having.

Comming soon to rape you all (not really)- Kitsunegirl28

  4. In response to your previous podcast, the first season of Minami-ke had a running gag of tv news reports about loincloth/fundoshi festivals. Among the highlights was a fundoshi Santa festival in the Christmas episode.

One thing I wish you guys would improve about the podcasts is the audio balance. Mike and Ray tend to have lower and less consistent volumes than Jeremy. Normally this isn’t much of a problem when listening in a quiet room. However, if there is any background noise like in a car or bus Mike’s voice is often too soft to hear, and setting the volume high enough to hear him makes Jeremy and the segment bumpers loud enough to bust eardrums. Here’s a couple of links on the subject.
