MyAnimeList Updated

Not much to say at this point, but I just wanted to let everyone know that MyAnimeList is finally updated after a year of neglect, and I intend to actually keep up with it from now on and even try to get involved in the MAL community if I can. I basically added the shows I watched in 2008.

I have now spent over 49 days of my life just watching anime, over my almost 10 years of fandom. Huzzah…right?

(Let the harping on the shows I haven’t finished or even begun to watch commence.)

Michael lives in the Los Angeles area, and has been into anime since he saw Neon Genesis Evangelion in 1999. Some of his favorite shows include Full Metal Alchemist, Honey and Clover, and Welcome to the NHK!. Since 2003 he has gone to at least one anime convention every year. A public radio junkie, which naturally led to podcasting, he now holds a seminary degree and is looking to become Dr. Rev. Otaku Bible Man any day now. 1. Nice! BTW, if you plan on keeping your MAL updated but don’t want to spend some time after each episode, search for the ‘MALUpdater’, it’s really an interesting app, both for updating MAL and organize animes.

  2. Congratulations! I guess I can free up a spot on my top 15 friends now… and what Fye_DX said. MAL Updater is pretty nifty and saves a lot of time.

  3. The MALUpdater app looks really cool, guys. Unfortunately, it’s Windows only, and I do my anime watching and blogging on a Mac–and I intend to keep it that way. 🙂  I’ll try running it through Crossover and/or VMWare virtual machine but unless it can pick up my Mac VLC player as I watch it’s probably not going to do me any good.

  4. It’s a shame about the Updater (one of the reasons I like PCs), but it’s definitely worth keeping your MAL updated anyhow. It’s a great community depending on where you go, and nothing’s worse than trying to dig up from memory the several hundred shows you’ve seen over the years.
