Tsundere Banana 7 – the Lover of Anime

What it is: a podcast/audio column

Length: around 10 minutes. Less than 10:30.

Host: Ray from Taipei.

Frequency: Mondays at 10 PM (well, you get two this week, neither of which is posted on Monday)

What it’s about –

1. looking into my so-called Otaku life.

2. Thoughts and opinions on my observations for many things, mostly anime and culture.

3. Inner workings, ideas and others behind the scenes at Anime Diet (animediet.net)

Comment: It’s upclose (perhaps too much for comfort), personal (I got good hygenes) and raw. It’s Ray unplugged.

This episode: Ray is somewhat drunk and he proceeds to discuss one of the reasons he started watching anime, his reluctance to let the ippanjin into the circle and his desire to make people on the Anime Diet Staff into managers and his business philosophy. Sorry if this doesn’t seem anime related much! After all, Uncle Ray is a little emotional!

Oh and all his thoughts started from his newly acquired WWII era Japanese relic sword that worthed little because it was probably forged by a bunch of nobodies. Ray is weird, eh?

I'm a hardcore Anime Fan and I'm proud of it. I know so many things and I've acquired so much knowledge you wouldn't believe. But my love is anime. I've been drifting in this world for so long that I don't even know what an anchor means. I've seen so many shows that I've lost count. The only thing I'm sure of myself is that I care for the lowly and disenfranchised. I hate the rich and powerful and I love what I do, or what I can do. I like anime and I don't mind watching different types of shows. I have experience in different types of Japanese animation. I would be called an "expert" in a bizzaro world. One day, I'd like to start a revolution. I love the US, pizza, beer, sashimi, Chinese food, and steak. But I love freshly baked bread more than a well-aged steak. In reality, if I were born Japanese I'd be a real, hardcore Otaku. I love to love and I can hate strongly. I'm passionate in nature and I don't mind shedding tears. I can be reached at rayyhum777 at animediet. My Twitter is rayyhum777 at twitter.

  1. I’m surprise there no comments posted to this podcast probably one of the most important podcast I have listen to so far.

Ray you have just won me over my deepest and most respect out to you my friend.

I will like to share my thoughts with you and everyone who has listen to this podcast.

Seriously from the deepest of my heart I completely understand you and give you thanks for sharing your thoughts with us. When I watched Claymore I cried, laughed and felt I was part of this fantasy world to many people it will seem like a nerdy/weird and kid thing but to us is far different. Anime has giving us our own world, a world we are accepted by unlimited imagination.

It is sad to see in todays time people will not work without money. I don’t get me wrong you need money for food, bills etc… I’m talking about something else. What I mean is when people are creating projects/ideas the first thing that comes into their mind “Is this profitable”.

Whatever happen to creating things because you have great passion and heart for? What happen to give and not take?

Noways everyone wants to take but not give and if we apply this to Anime that is what is happening.

My apologies for the long reply.
