A New Digimon Adventure Begins
Los Angeles and Denver, October 10, 2023 – Digimon fans, prepare for a nostalgic journey. This November, Toei Animation, in collaboration with Fathom Events, announces the release of “Digimon Adventure 02 The Beginning”. This cinematic event will unfold on November 8 & 9, bringing back the beloved chosen children from “Digimon Adventure 02”. But this time, they’re stepping into the screen as 20-year-old young adults.
The movie will be showcased in 750 theaters throughout the U.S. via Fathom Events. To offer fans a diversified experience, there will be two versions: an English dub (on November 8) and a Japanese version with English subtitles (on November 9). Each screening begins at 7:00 pm local time.
Special Theatrical Exclusives
To enhance the movie experience, attendees will witness an introduction by the film’s director, Tomohisa Taguchi. Moreover, the first 50 attendees of each screening stand a chance to receive the exclusive Digimon Card Game Tamer Party Pack -THE BEGINNING- ver. 2.0. This special pack includes a selection of 3 out of 14 cards from the upcoming Digimon Card Game deck, marking the film’s commemoration.

About “Digimon Adventure 02 The Beginning”
The Digimon franchise, originating from the Digital Monster virtual pet toy launched in 1997, has expanded its universe with films, TV series, games, and more. The forthcoming film is a direct sequel to the “Digimon Adventure 02” TV series, portraying the original DigiDestined children, now as young adults. Directed by Tomohisa Taguchi and penned by Akatsuki Yamatoya, the movie is produced by Toei Animation.
Film Brief: A decade post their Digital World escapade, Daisuke Motomiya and fellow DigiDestined notice dramatic changes within and around them. A pivotal moment arises with a massive Digitama emerging over Tokyo Tower, leading them to a mysterious young man named Lui Ohwada, who claims to be the inaugural DigiDestined.
