UK’s Hooray for Fish! Picture Book Made into Anime

The Hooray for Fish! children’s picture book, the latest work from the English author-illustrator Lucy Cousins (Maisy series, Za Za’s Baby Brother), is being made into a Japanese animated series that will premiere on Japan’s NHK-Education public television network on October 4. The Hooray for Fish! Production Committee has launched a website for the series. Two five-minute episodes (out of 104 planned) about Little Fish and his colorful sea companions will air every Thursday and Friday at 7:15 a.m. WAO! World (Honey and Clover, Happy Lesson) is animating the series for Interchannel-Holon.
