Wolverine 01 – are you kidding me?

This is the best sword and claw action since Ninja Blade! Or no, this is arguable but for an old, tired American concept turned into Japanese anime, this is great!

The stupid bishonen stuff from the old trailer is long gone. We have a Logan the way he should be – manly, tough, goes after what he wants. Did I mention GAR??? But not GAR in a mountain of muscles way, but agile and with well defined muscles and big shoulders. What, you have guns, son? That’s a good one. But I’m still a million times faster than you. Nice try, bub.

Thankfully no “bub’s” were uttered by this Logan. This guy simply rocks.

…Why does Logan always goes through the same shit? Someone is always trying to snatch his girlfriend away. I never really read much of X-Men and I remember that plot.

I really like the action scenes, to me, they’re quite fluid. Lightening fast, smooth and deadly, just like a fairy tale ninja. Wolverine is perfect at his new home – in an anime produced by Madhouse.

The female lead is bland. But that’s why this show is called “Wolverine”. My fan service side wags its head but my fighting action side wags its tail (man that was off). In any event, you should just watch the show for all the stops that the makers of Ninja Scroll put in and more – cause they certainly know how to kick it up a notch or two. Or TEN.

Heartily recommended for any action fan.

I'm a hardcore Anime Fan and I'm proud of it. I know so many things and I've acquired so much knowledge you wouldn't believe. But my love is anime. I've been drifting in this world for so long that I don't even know what an anchor means. I've seen so many shows that I've lost count. The only thing I'm sure of myself is that I care for the lowly and disenfranchised. I hate the rich and powerful and I love what I do, or what I can do. I like anime and I don't mind watching different types of shows. I have experience in different types of Japanese animation. I would be called an "expert" in a bizzaro world. One day, I'd like to start a revolution. I love the US, pizza, beer, sashimi, Chinese food, and steak. But I love freshly baked bread more than a well-aged steak. In reality, if I were born Japanese I'd be a real, hardcore Otaku. I love to love and I can hate strongly. I'm passionate in nature and I don't mind shedding tears. 1. So this is way better than the iron man adaptation into anime, well reading your insights for this anime makes me want to pick it up.

    1. Seems to be true. In that case, Madhouse is actually going with a good source material closer to home. Let’s see how good they can use it.
