Anime Diet Radio Goes to (Episode) 11!

Beck knows how to ROCK.

[display_podcast]

Because it’s one more than 10, right? Spinal Tap references aside, this is also the fastest I’ve put out a podcast, in like, ever. 🙂 Edited 30,000 feet above the ground in an airplane, too! In this episode we TURN IT UP TO ELEVEN and talk just about a few things: the Evangelion Rebuild movie (for my inner Anno fanboy), the Odex crisis in Singapore, and conclude with a roundtable discussion about the “Manga Bible” that’s recently starting to be released. This time, we actually kept it under an hour, too–though there was one digression that I thought was worth keeping and preserved it the extra file you can listen/download above. (Hint: it’s about how the Japanese plan to conquer the world!)

We welcome your comments and perspectives, and any questions and or provocations may in fact be handled over the air. 🙂 Send us your feedback and we’d love to interact with you.

Show Notes

  • –OP: “Date of Rebirth” by Origa (ED to Ghost in the Shell Solid State Society)
  • –ED: “Fly Me to the Moon (2007 Mix)” by Utada Hikaru (from the Evangelion Rebuild movie)
  • –The “goof on” catchphrase stems from a seeming verbal gaffe I made a few episodes back, where when I said “let’s move on” it sounded like “let’s GOOF on.” Ray caught it and since it sounds like Wayne’s World kind of catchphrase we’ve decided to make it ours too!
