Anime Diet Radio Episode 9: Late, Summer, Fansubs

Voting MUST be cool if Amuro Ray likes it.

[display_podcast]

You can probably figure it out when you listen to it: this was recorded 2.5 weeks ago. Sorry for the lateness–school is my excuse. But it’s done and it’s a good one! We talk about attempts to get otaku to vote and Otakon licenses in the news section, plus a look at several summer season shows: School Days, MushiUta, Umisho, and Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei. Finally, starting a new section–we have a roundtable discussion on the future of fansubs and what companies should do to get hardcore fans like us to pay up. (Hint: easily available downloadable subbed episodes would be a good start. :))

By now, you’ve probably already seen the audio columns Ray has put up. Expect mine by next week, on the subject of anime, religion, and ethics. This will be a regular feature that appears on the weeks when there is no podcast. It’s just another way of keeping our feed alive so we don’t get delisted from the iTunes Store Directory for being inactive. <–or you could write a customer review for us too!

We just recorded the next episode of the podcast a few days ago, and it’s my avowed promise to have a much quicker turnaround time on these things. Until then–see you next time!
