Japan’s Foreign Ministry to Expand Outreach Program
Japan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs will be expanding its overseas Japanese-language outreach program…Starting this year, it will hire “new Japanese-language teachers who are versed in manga, fashion, and other aspects of the latest Japanese culture.” The Japanese government already supports 10 overseas Japanese-language learning centers with about 3,000 students, but those will expand to 100 to 200 centers in the next three years…
