EDIT: Counters fixed.

This late episode, recorded a while back, may be tuneless–as might be expected when seiyuus since punk rock songs–but it is a lot LOUDER thanks to the Levelator software! We’re louder than bombs, as another band might say. And we’re going to bombard you with news about Taiga on city posters, teachers forcing girls to be maids, and Dutch wives in the trash bin.

But the center piece–or the horror show, as it were–is our Roundtable about the Puncolle Seiyuu Punk Rock Collection of songs, in which seiyuu desecrate cover various classic punk and alternative tunes. The results, in which we present a good number of clips, are either horrifying or horrifically funny.

Anyways, enjoy this latest outing from Anime Diet Radio. Leave your comments below; we will do our best to answer them on the air!

PS: sorry we didn’t get your comment in time, asdf–but know that the massively improved clarity of our voices is due to your suggestions and links. Seriously–thanks so much!

  1. Hello new listener I like your podcast. Im going to be listening for a long time

  2. Oh god you guys are gonna make me die lauthing!

Just to point out I do like BL  of all kinds,  and the anime that I kind of didnt like was DMC I mean,  it was funny but at the same time, creapy sorry guys…

And I appoligize for the Rape comment I made on my last comment.

I’m curious…whats the steriotype for the older brother?

This was my reaction to those “punk” songs:….What. The.  Hell. Was. That?? I mean really they were ok songs but to clasify them as punk is….well…just- no ok??

And btw I’m 16 how big is there of an age deference between us?

Love you all and looking foward to your next podcast,

  3. Thanks for sharing the punk rock CD! Really! It was awesome! I loved it! Smells like 9x Platinum!

You just gained and lost a listener from a single podcast. Never slight the UK! 😛

One question: Will you be having any discussions about recent anime (i.e past couple of seasons) on the podcast? If not, that’s cool, the current formula’s great anyway.

  4. I think Moe would smell like burnt sugar.
Sweet at first but later your nose just hurts and you have to open a window.

There is a reason why Punk/Grung is not Moe and that CD is why. Cutsy+ Dark = Scary and Disgusting

Good thing theres a stop button or I would have had to suffer threw the whole song..

  5. I actually liked Puncolle, but solely due to the fact that I’m not into rock to begin with and I’m unfamiliar with the original songs. I’m not sure if the publishers expected people to enjoy the release or if it was simply made as a spoof, but I’d say it works pretty well it terms of comedy (so long as you’re not offended). On the other hand, I could never imagine myself listening to any of these songs for the sake of enjoyment; sorta like Chocolate Rain or other meme songs, it’s one of those things that isn’t actually good but still gets a few chuckles out of the listener.

Assuming that your ears don’t explode within the first five seconds, of course.

  6. God. I think it would be pretty hilarious to talk with you guys on Skype. Maybe you can hold conversations open to public once in a while.
Raymond’s accent is the funniest thing since terrorism.

Anyway, good stuff, I was interested the whole way through :3.

  7. Wow. I love you guys. You keep me super entertained. Like, I’ve tried listening to some other anime-like(?) podcasts and they are all so. boring. But your podcast is actually interesting..eh..colorful? haha. Anyways…

Mike has a really nice voice. ._.
