AX 2008 Press Junket Interview: Akemi Takada

This is our interview with Akemi Takada, the old-school character designer of such 80′s classics like Kimagure Orange Road, Maison Ikkoku, and Urusei Yatsura. She does briefly address why she hasn’t done any more Rumiko Takahashi works since then, and her plans to do some CGI work. This interview was conducted on press junket day, July 2. I was a bit more relaxed in this one. :)

About the Author

Michael lives in the Los Angeles area, and has been into anime since he saw Neon Genesis Evangelion in 1999. Some of his favorite shows include Full Metal Alchemist, Honey and Clover, and Welcome to the NHK!. Since 2003 he has gone to at least one anime convention every year. A public radio junkie, which naturally led to podcasting, he now holds a seminary degree and is looking to become Dr. Rev. Otaku Bible Man any day now.
