I wonder how many fanboys will be “having fun” to Asuka and how many fangirls will be “having fun” to the Karou and Shinji pairing in Japan (and perhaps the rest of the Otaku world)?

YES! Agree on the comment re: Mitsuishi Kotono and Hayashibara Megumi doing their roles again – it’s been way too long since I’ve heard them in something good and meaty. (With Megumi the last noteworthy thing I saw her in was Paprika, which > Kotono as Nobita’s mother in new Doraemon movies…)
I was always an Asuka/Shinji fan myself. (female here.)
Well, you’re for the more normal relationships but a lot of fangirls in Japan cheered for Karou and Shinji pairing when they first saw these two together! But the sexual innuendo was put in there by the creators!
