Naruto: The Abridged Version!

Listen up, Narutards: there’s now something almost as funny as the old Evangelion:ReDeath was for Evatards like me.

And there’s more where that came from. 16 more episodes more, in fact.

Thanks to Misty at my anime club’s message board for finding this. This made me laugh pretty hard, and I’m not into Naruto that much. (One of these days I’m going to tell the story of what happened when someone at my school spotted the Naruto button on my backpack, though…)

  1. I’ll second Ida’s recommendation. Yu-Gi-Oh The Abridged Series started the current trend and remains the best.

  2. I concur. There is “Naruto the abridged series”, but everybody knows that’s just not as good as “Yu-Gi-Oh Abridged”.

  3. Ravage: That was actually referenced in an episode of Naruto by the creator of Yu-Gi-Oh the Abridged series himself. It was good times. 😛

As people have said, check out Yu-Gi-Oh abridged, since that’s where the kick started and that’s one that rocks the hardest. 😛

  4. So, everyone, I don’t have to know much about Yu-gi-oh to appreciate the abridged version, then? I pretty much only got a lot of the humor in the first 10 eps of Naruto abridged because that’s how much of that show I had seen and was familiar. (It did seem to decline in humor quality after the 3rd or 4th episode, true.) But thanks for the suggestion. I knew I could count on you guys. 🙂

  5. When I posted this on the message board that Mike referenced, I didn’t know that the concept originated with Yu-Gi-Oh! I’m not a fan of that particular series, but I am vaguely familiar with the premise. Guess I’ll have to search Yu-Gi-Oh! Abridged on YouTube or elsewhere 🙂

    (Thanks for the props, Mike!)

  6. I do what I can, Misty. Thanks for the original link. And I never expected people to come to correct me so quickly. 🙂

  7. There are bout 25 episodes or smth now…
