I am definitely an academic at heart--I have always loved reading and loved writing, and my stated ambition for years has been to make a living reading and writing and teaching. But I also know how essential it is to be connected to people and real practice. Especially for the discipline I'm in, which tends to go sour and irrelevant the more it's cut off from the living Church. My other dream has always been to be a published fiction writer. I've been writing fiction on and off for far longer than I've been into anime. My main website (<a href="http://www.imagria.com" rel="nofollow">imagria.com</a>) has some of my stories. Thank you for saying that. I think people throwing around arguments like "anime is sooo deep" or the opposite are pretty ridiculous, because it's just a medium.
