Death Note Witnessed in Alabama!

2 Alabama Boys Arrested for Death Note Book

Two 12-year-old sixth-grade boys were arrested in Gadsden, Alabama on Thursday for a notebook that allegedly listed their school staff and fellow students in a manner similar to the Death Note anime series…Etowah County Superintendent of Education Mike Bailey issued a news release that said that the students were suspended from the county’s schools, pending a juvenile court hearing. The students, their parents, and school officials had met with Handy and a junior probation officer…

Ray’s take: Oh my God, man, I don’t care how conservative you are, this is just plain ridiculous. So people gets SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO paranoid these days that anyone writes something in his or her own notebook gets arrested (NO, don’t tell me the location of discovery, NO, don’t tell me it’s school locker – although yeah, that means these kids were stupid – but argue on these points and I’ll tell you to get the hell off of this site ASAP). Damn, so we get so scared of kids writing names in a book…Well, on the other hand I can’t blame them, after all, this is where Alabama man action figure gets famous, wife beaters roams freely and people shoots each other every other second, right????? One can’t never be too careful. I guess I’ll write it off as another Death Note sighting. I like the South I just don’t want it to be on the rise again! Otherwise we’d be all eating fried foods and chitlins (pig’s intestines)!

Y’all know I’m just kidding right?

I'm a hardcore Anime Fan and I'm proud of it. I know so many things and I've acquired so much knowledge you wouldn't believe. But my love is anime. I've been drifting in this world for so long that I don't even know what an anchor means. I've seen so many shows that I've lost count. The only thing I'm sure of myself is that I care for the lowly and disenfranchised. I hate the rich and powerful and I love what I do, or what I can do. I like anime and I don't mind watching different types of shows. I have experience in different types of Japanese animation. I would be called an "expert" in a bizzaro world. One day, I'd like to start a revolution. I love the US, pizza, beer, sashimi, Chinese food, and steak. But I love freshly baked bread more than a well-aged steak. In reality, if I were born Japanese I'd be a real, hardcore Otaku. I love to love and I can hate strongly. I'm passionate in nature and I don't mind shedding tears. 1. Okay, this is so stupid. There is no such thing as a notebook that can kill people. Of course people will try to create something similar to it, but it won’t happen. If the police and school district really want to make sure this is fake, look for the victims. If the ‘victims’ are alive, then you should leave it be and give the kids a smack on the wrist and tell them to please leave the notebooks at home. I have a notebook and it helps with stress, so they need to relize that kids who get bullied and hurt by other children want some other way to fight back without getting hurt themselves. Nothing bad happened out of it, so why is this so controversial? I live in Alabama not too far away from Gadsden, so this makes no sense to me!

  2. You’re right, however, because it had been such a paradise back home (in States) compare with other places in the world, when something happens, people get extra paranoid and they overdo everything.

It really sucks that the privacy of these kids were violated, not too mention now they’re really going to be picked on for the rest of their school careers and labeled with probably worse titles. How much more traumatizing can the middle/high school experience get???
