With American Hollywood remaking every movie in existence, I decided to think about what anime I’d love to see get remade, revived, or rehashed. Recently there was the new Mahoromatic OVA, the Birdy the Mighty remake, and the new Trigun movie… the anime of our past isn’t going anywhere. So, almost anything is open game.

These past 10 years have been truly amazing. Around the year 2000 is when I came into full swing and acceptance of my love of anime and it wasn’t going anywhere in my life. I had spent the previous 5 years watching almost every bit of Ranma 1/2 on VHS I could get my hands on. I had the Tenchi OVA on VCD (who remembers those?) and had just purchased the first volume of Cowboy Bebop, subtitled, in clamshell VHS. (Who remembers THOSE?) I’m sometimes very specific as to what I’ll even give a chance when it comes to anime. Unfortunately, that means that I miss out on some great shows, but there’s some things I just don’t like. I’ve never seen Naruto, Bleach, One Piece, or Full Metal Alchemist mostly because a lot of people I can’t [...]
