Good work sir. This pretty much sums up my feelings of “Wow, it makes so much more sense the second time around!” even though I never finished the series in the first place. I’m just glad the shine hasn’t been dulled by the intervening two years. It’s going to be fun, folks! ^_^

Funny things you notice: Kirihara is I’m guessing a police detective, but is supplied with what looks like a Porsche complete with a flashing light. Nice touch! Can’t believed I missed that the first time…

Great decompressive review! I’ve seen this episode maybe half a dozen times showing it to friends (one was tremendously squicked at the finger-breaking scene) and just rewatching it in general, but the implications of things like Louis’ erratic behaviour and “Surround him from the east” never really crossed my mind.

Now that you mention it, the opening scene of each episode is, for the most part, significantly related to the episode, like the episode title usually is. This should help you in later arcs, I hope!
